Toolroom Manager Opportunity in Port Elizabeth
On Line Personnel is seeking a skilled and experienced Toolroom Manager to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This is a hands-on leadership role for a qualified professional with extensive technical expertise in high-precision manufacturing. Key Performance Areas
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the toolroom, ensuring that all production requirements are met with precision and efficiency. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Tooling Development: Building, repairing, and modifying high-precision tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Precision Machining: Combining traditional manual toolroom expertise with advanced computer-controlled machining. This includes using CAD/CAM software to program and operate CNC mills, lathes, and milling machines to meet strict industrial tolerances.
- CNC Programming and Operation: Setting up, running, and adjusting CNC machinery, while also utilizing workshop equipment such as surface grinders and conventional lathes.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Proactively repairing and optimizing progressive dies, blanking tools, and production fixtures to maintain consistent production quality.
Requirements
To be considered for this Toolroom Manager position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a qualified Toolmaker.
- Proven experience in blanking.
- Strong technical background in CNC operation and programming.
- Previous supervisory experience is essential for this role.
Remuneration
This position offers an hourly rate ranging from R200 to R220 per hour, plus the opportunity for overtime.
