Role Overview: Systems Analyst at reversidesoftwaresolutionspt
We are seeking a talented Senior Systems Analyst at reversidesoftwaresolutionspt with a strong hybrid background in analysis and development. This role is essential for our ongoing efforts to reverse-engineer and analyze complex legacy enterprise platforms. You will be responsible for dissecting existing application code, databases, integrations, and configurations to generate precise current-state documentation. Your insights will directly support our modernization, migration, decomposition, and decommissioning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Reverse-engineer legacy applications to identify core business rules, processing logic, technical dependencies, and areas of technical debt.
- Conduct detailed analysis of .NET/C#, SQL Server, Java components, stored procedures, and system configurations.
- Document current-state architecture, including data flows, system interactions, and technical interfaces.
- Produce essential outputs such as business rules, data lineage, dependency maps, interface inventories, and as-is process models.
- Perform thorough impact assessments, root-cause investigations, and data integration analysis.
- Translate technical discoveries into clear requirements, user stories, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Actively support migration, remediation, and system decommissioning projects.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, architects, testers, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with testing, validation, backlog refinement, and delivery planning to ensure project success.
- Maintain high standards for traceability, governance, and auditability in all analytical work.
Mandatory Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems or Technical Business Analysis.
- Proven ability in legacy system analysis and reverse engineering.
- Proficient in .NET/C# and SQL Server database analysis.
- Skilled in source code analysis and data flow/dependency mapping.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and batch or file-based integrations.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Strong modeling capabilities using UML, BPMN, and ERD.
- Advanced data analysis skills using SQL and Excel.
- Excellent technical documentation and requirements gathering skills.
- Proficient in conducting impact and root-cause analysis.
Advantageous Skills
- Experience with Java development.
- Understanding of Azure or Cloud architecture.
- Domain knowledge in Financial Services or Banking sectors.
- Experience with legacy modernization and migration strategies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and source control management.
- Exposure to customer information and onboarding systems.
- Familiarity with software intelligence and dependency analysis tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in systems analysis, technical business analysis, software engineering, or application analysis.
