Store Supervisor – Walmer Park Shopping Centre
Measured Ability is representing a leading national fashion and apparel retailer in their search for an experienced and dynamic Store Supervisor to join their new store at Walmer Park Shopping Centre in the Eastern Cape, Nelson Mandela Bay. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated retail professional with a passion for fashion to lead a team, drive sales, and uphold the standards of a well-established brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily retail store operations and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to consistently meet and exceed performance targets.
- Foster a culture of exceptional customer service to ensure a premium shopping experience.
- Drive store sales through proactive product knowledge, effective promotions, and customer engagement.
- Oversee staff performance, including providing ongoing training, development, and scheduling.
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding processes for new store staff.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Manage inventory effectively, including stock takes, replenishment, and loss prevention.
- Address customer queries and resolve complaints with professionalism.
- Uphold store housekeeping and ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Execute store opening and closing procedures accurately.
- Manage administrative duties, including the preparation of daily sales reports.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- 2–4 years of experience as a Supervisor within a fashion, apparel, footwear, or branded retail environment.
- Proven track record of leading and motivating a retail team.
- A strong sales-driven mindset and a genuine passion for customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Solid numerical and administrative skills.
- Proficient in working with POS systems and retail reporting.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- A professional, well-groomed appearance that aligns with a fashion-conscious environment.
- Reliable transport to and from Walmer Park Shopping Centre.
- Must be available to start immediately.
Preferred Requirements
- Previous experience working for a national fashion or apparel retailer.
- Practical knowledge of visual merchandising principles.
- Demonstrated experience with stock management and shrinkage control.
