Sales Executive (Logistics)
TrudyQ Consulting is seeking a results-driven professional to join a Fortune 500 global logistics market leader as a Sales Executive (Logistics). Based in Cape Town, Western Cape, this role is centered on driving business development initiatives within a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Executive (Logistics), you will manage an assigned territory, utilizing your deep understanding of local market trends, competitors, and potential customers. Your daily focus will involve orchestrating customer and branch relationships while collaborating with regional product and service teams to deliver value-added logistics solutions.
Key duties include:
- Developing and presenting customized logistics solutions, supported by detailed diagrams and cost-benefit analysis.
- Meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Maintaining accurate records by ensuring timely data entry within the company’s Customer Relationship Management tool.
- Supporting the onboarding process for new accounts, including customer introductions, documentation handover, and assistance with accounts receivable collections.
- Participating in industry-specific trade groups and attending ongoing professional development to stay current with service and product offerings.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Matric / NQF4 certificate.
- A relevant qualification in Sales, Logistics, or Marketing is considered an advantage.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in New Business Development within the Freight, Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain industries.
- The ability to provide verified proof of previous sales targets versus actual achievements.
- Full computer literacy, including experience with integrated information systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Possession of a reliable, presentable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
