Talent Evolution (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dedicated and proactive Relationship Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of employer clients, serving as their primary point of contact and dedicated internal advocate. We are looking for a professional who thrives on building long-term partnerships, driving product utilisation, and ensuring consistent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for a defined portfolio of employer clients.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HR, payroll, finance, and executive management.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s specific business needs, payroll cycles, and workforce priorities.
- Manage client escalations and service inquiries, ensuring internal resolutions are coordinated effectively.
- Coordinate the onboarding and handover process for new clients in partnership with our operations and implementation teams.
Client Engagement & Communication
- Maintain a structured engagement cadence across your entire portfolio.
- Schedule and facilitate regular client meetings, site visits, and account reviews.
- Manage proactive engagement plans, ensuring all upcoming reviews and priorities are tracked.
- Provide timely responses to client queries and keep partners informed regarding product updates or changes.
Reporting & Account Reviews
- Prepare and present high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
- Analyse data regarding registration, transaction volumes, and support trends to provide clients with actionable insights.
- Conduct strategic business reviews and support the renewal process with comprehensive value reporting.
Growth & Commercial Management
- Achieve defined targets for upselling, cross-selling, and overall portfolio expansion.
- Drive employee engagement campaigns to boost registration and product utilisation rates.
- Negotiate contract renewals and identify new opportunities for growth within existing client subsidiaries.
CRM & Data Management
- Utilise our CRM as the central hub for account information, ensuring all meeting notes, risks, and milestones are accurately recorded.
- Monitor portfolio health through CRM dashboards to identify and mitigate engagement risks.
- Provide regular pipeline and performance reporting to internal management.
Internal Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with the Operations, Product, Technology, and Finance teams to resolve client issues and meet commitments.
- Channel client feedback into internal product development processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our client management best practices and documentation.
Role Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in relationship management, account management, or client success within a B2B environment.
- A proven track record in retaining clients and achieving commercial growth or upselling targets.
- Experience communicating with senior stakeholders, including HR Directors and Financial Managers.
- A valid driver’s licence and your own reliable transport, as regular travel to client sites is required.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CRM software for activity, pipeline, and dashboard management.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify key trends.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills for professional reporting and presentations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong organisational abilities.
Advantageous Experience
- Background in fintech, payments, payroll, HR technology, or financial services.
- Knowledge of South African payroll processes and systems.
- Experience with earned wage access, financial wellness, or employee benefits.
- Experience working with large, distributed, or non-desk-based workforces.
- Proficiency in additional South African languages.

Salary
- R45 000 – R50 000 per month.
