About the Role
AJ Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated Project Coordinator (CCMDD – One Month Temporary Position – Wits RHI – Gophelega Tshwane). This is a vital role based in Tshwane, focused on supporting the Wits Reproductive Health and HIV Institute (Wits RHI) in their mission to address critical health challenges across Africa. You will play a key part in the Gophelega Tshwane project, providing essential technical assistance and user support for SyNCH applications and related health platforms.
Key Responsibilities
As the Project Coordinator, your primary objective is to ensure the smooth implementation of CCMDD policies and the effective roll-out of decanting strategies. Your daily functions will include:
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Providing first-line support to healthcare facilities, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining system master files (HPRS, SyNCH, and Electronic TB/HIV Registers).
- System Management: Overseeing software updates, managing IT asset inventory, and ensuring all PCs are equipped with updated anti-virus software and functional operating systems.
- Training & Mentorship: Developing and facilitating training programs for district staff, mentoring ICT coordinators, and ensuring end-users at health facilities can utilize software systems optimally.
- Project Oversight: Writing comprehensive reports, participating in strategic planning, and collaborating with the District Health Management to monitor and evaluate program objectives.
- Data Quality: Supporting data management teams, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assisting with the extraction and analysis of DMOC data.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong partnerships with facility managers, DoH representatives, and other collaborators to ensure seamless service delivery and communication.
- Team Leadership: Assisting with recruitment processes, supervising technicians, and managing staff performance to foster a productive and professional work environment.
Requirements
To be considered for this one-month opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: An appropriate IT-related Diploma or qualification as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant with a strong IT background.
- Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in software or ICT implementation.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer literacy is essential. Experience in implementing health information systems will be highly advantageous.
- Capabilities: You must have the ability to analyze complex technical information, possess excellent communication and writing skills, and be capable of working independently.
- Logistics: A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive are required, as travel may be necessary. You must be available to respond to emergencies or queries outside of standard working hours.
