About the Role
Measured Ability is seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Supervisor to oversee operations within the KwaZulu Natal region, specifically covering the Umhlanga and Tongaat areas. This role is integral to our service delivery, requiring a professional who can manage on-site staff effectively, ensure productivity, and maintain strong client relationships within the Temporary Employment Services (TES) or Logistics and Warehousing sectors.
Key Responsibilities of the Site Supervisor
The successful candidate will take ownership of daily on-site operations, ensuring that all safety, staffing, and administrative requirements are met. Your primary duties will include:
- Managing site operations to ensure high levels of productivity and consistent client satisfaction.
- Coordinating staff on-site and ensuring all shifts are fully covered.
- Conducting basic site inductions and safety briefings for all employees.
- Assessing and managing occupational health and safety hazards while ensuring strict adherence to site rules.
- Overseeing the distribution and use of correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Handling payroll data administration with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Navigating labour-related HR and IR processes, including mediating disputes and participating in disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of all relevant legal responsibilities and compliance standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and a solid track record in a similar environment. We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in a similar role, ideally within the Temporary Employment Services (TES) industry or the Logistics and Warehousing sectors.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and data management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational skills to manage complex, fast-paced site environments.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- A clear understanding of labour laws and site-based HR/IR procedures.
