Accounts Payable Clerk Opportunity in Nelson Mandela Bay
Measured Ability is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in the Eastern Cape, specifically for a temporary assignment based in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area. We are looking for a reliable professional who has a solid background in creditors and is proficient in Pastel Partner. Key Responsibilities
- Process and capture supplier invoices with a high degree of accuracy and within agreed timelines.
- Match invoices against purchase orders and relevant supporting documentation.
- Reconcile supplier statements and proactively resolve any identified discrepancies.
- Prepare and process supplier payments.
- Maintain organized and accurate supplier account records.
- Manage supplier communication by handling queries and following up on outstanding issues.
- Support the finance team with creditor reconciliations and month-end processing requirements.
- Execute general finance and administrative duties as the business requires.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working additional hours when necessary to meet strict financial deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
- Proven experience in a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk or Creditors Clerk role.
- Strong working knowledge and technical proficiency in Pastel Partner.
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end creditors and accounts payable processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Capacity to work independently while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Immediate availability to commence work.
- A willingness to put in longer hours when business demands require it.
- Own transport is considered an advantage.

- Expertise in full-function creditors processing and invoice capturing.
