Are you a logistics professional who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments? We are currently seeking an experienced Outbound Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join the team at DCV Sabenza IT and Recruitment in Pietermaritzburg. We are looking for a hands-on leader who is passionate about operational excellence, ensuring every delivery is On Time and In Full (OTIF), and fostering a high-performance warehouse culture.
In this role, you will take full ownership of our warehousing, dispatch, transportation, and inventory operations. You will be responsible for building a world-class team and implementing best-in-class warehouse practices. We need a strategic thinker who is not afraid to lead from the front, mentor staff, and continuously optimize our processes for maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all outbound warehouse and dispatch operations.
- Manage transportation scheduling and route planning to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain rigorous inventory management and stock control standards.
- Control and manage departmental budgets effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Coach and develop your team to build a culture of accountability and success.
Essential Requirements
- A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing warehouse and dispatch operations.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management and stock control.
- Proven track record in route planning and transport scheduling.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in core computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation.
- Familiarity with barcode scanning systems.
- Practical experience in warehouse layout design.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
