Senior Backend (Full Stack) Software Engineer
Rosstone Consulting is looking for a seasoned professional to join our team in Cape Town CBD. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend (Full Stack) Software Engineer with 10+ years of professional development expertise to lead the design, development, and evolution of our core backend systems.
In this role, you will architect and maintain scalable .NET Core and .NET Framework services while designing high-performance SQL Server solutions. You will contribute to ETL pipelines and reporting processes, playing a pivotal role in defining backend standards, ensuring system reliability, and guiding the overall technical direction of our platform. While this position is primarily focused on backend development, you will collaborate closely with frontend engineers working on web applications and will be encouraged to expand your influence across the entire application stack over time.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in .NET Core and C# with a proven track record of building scalable, production-grade RESTful Web APIs.
- Extensive experience designing and maintaining distributed, enterprise-grade systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including complex schema design, indexing strategies, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Practical experience in implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps.
- A strong grasp of clean architecture, SOLID principles, and industry-standard design patterns.
- An appropriate tertiary degree.
