Experienced Bookkeeper Opportunity in Wynberg, Sandton
Fusion Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well-established company based in Wynberg, Sandton. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong technical background in accounting and office administration.
Key Responsibilities for the Bookkeeper
The successful candidate will play a vital role in the financial health of the business by taking ownership of the following duties:
- Processing supplier invoices and reconciling purchase orders within Sage Pastel.
- Executing monthly creditors and debtors reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Preparing VAT calculations and providing support for month-end and management accounts.
- Assisting with audit preparation and ensuring all financial records are maintained to a high standard.
- Capturing and managing purchase orders and contract cost data using Excel.
- Managing debt collection by following up on outstanding accounts and liaising directly with clients.
- Overseeing the B-BBEE verification process and managing company leave registers.
- Coordinating internal training sessions and managing engineer registrations via the ECSA portal.
- Providing general administrative support, including responding to inquiries and assisting with daily office coordination.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping and office administration.
- Advanced proficiency in Sage Pastel Accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with creditors, debtors, VAT, reconciliations, and month-end procedures.
- Previous experience preparing management accounts and assisting during annual audits.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
- The capacity to work independently while contributing to the wider team.
