Section Manager – Manufacturing (Charge Room Division)

Measured Ability is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team in Nelson Mandela Bay (Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage) as a Section Manager – Manufacturing (Charge Room Division). This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, managing production outputs, and leading a high-performing team within our manufacturing facility.

Minimum Requirements

• A certificate in a technical, engineering, or electrical discipline (NQF 5).
• Qualified Trade Tested Artisan status, with a strong preference for Electricians or Millwrights.
• A certificate in accounting and leadership.
• At least 10 years of experience within electrical production or operations in a manufacturing environment.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven supervisory experience.

Advantageous Qualifications

• A diploma in a technical, engineering, or electrical discipline (NQF 6) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (NQF 7).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize production processes to ensure maximum output and productivity.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules strategically to enhance equipment availability and reduce downtime.
• Uphold strict compliance with all company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
• Provide strong leadership, coaching, and development for Shift Supervisors and production teams.
• Monitor daily operational performance and proactively implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee departmental budgets, maintain tight cost control, and identify ongoing opportunities for cost-saving.
• Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
