Frogg Recruitment is currently partnering with a prominent manufacturing firm in Boksburg to appoint a strategic and experienced Procurement Manager. This role is pivotal to our client’s operational success, requiring a professional who can oversee the entire procurement lifecycle while ensuring that engineering and manufacturing outputs remain consistent, cost-effective, and high in quality.
Requirements for the Procurement Manager
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a deep understanding of the manufacturing sector. The following qualifications and experience are required:
- A relevant degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Procurement Manager, specifically within the engineering or manufacturing industries.
- Solid technical exposure to the manufacturing of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Hands-on experience with SAGE and specialized Procurement CRM software.
Key Responsibilities
As the Procurement Manager, you will take full ownership of the department, ensuring that sourcing and purchasing activities align with organizational goals. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Leading the end-to-end procurement function, including sourcing, strategic purchasing, contract management, and ongoing supplier performance evaluations.
- Maintaining strict compliance with internal financial controls, procurement procedures, and departmental budgets.
- Working closely with the Head of Finance and Group Operations Director to ensure all activities are aligned with broader corporate directives.
- Serving as the primary liaison between the company and suppliers for all goods, services, and capital items.
- Driving cost-effectiveness and quality assurance to ensure that the manufacturing division receives the necessary materials on time.
