Recruitment, Systems & Operations Lead
Measured Ability is seeking a strategic and experienced professional to join our team in KwaZulu Natal, eThekwini North (Umhlanga / Tongaat) as our new Recruitment, Systems & Operations Lead. This pivotal role is designed for a leader who can balance high-level business development with the technical oversight of our recruitment infrastructure. You will be responsible for scaling our permanent recruitment division while ensuring our internal systems remain at the forefront of industry efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Permanent Recruitment Leadership
- Lead and grow the permanent recruitment division by setting clear strategic goals.
- Develop new business opportunities and foster lasting client relationships.
- Deliver high-quality recruitment solutions tailored to a variety of sectors.
- Mentor, coach, and support a team of recruitment consultants to maximize individual and collective performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement across the division.
Recruitment Systems & Database Management
- Take full ownership of the Group’s recruitment and vetting database.
- Oversee the migration, upload, and quality assurance of candidate profiles, managing both active and standby talent pools.
- Ensure the absolute accuracy, integrity, and ongoing maintenance of all candidate data.
- Drive user adoption and system optimization throughout the business.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiencies.
Systems Development & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with software developers to identify necessary enhancements and new functionality.
- Test new features and provide structured feedback to improve overall system performance and user experience.
- Document business requirements and streamline operational processes.
- Champion innovation and digital transformation within our recruitment operations.
Training & Operational Support
- Train and support recruitment teams across multiple branches on system usage, best practices, and standard recruitment processes.
- Develop comprehensive standard operating procedures and user-friendly guides.
- Maintain consistent recruitment standards and rigorous database management across all business functions.
Project Management
- Lead strategic recruitment-related projects from initial planning through to final implementation.
- Manage the recruitment process for key Group positions.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Monitor project timelines, risks, and core deliverables.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our market presence.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Collaborate with sales and operational teams to drive sustainable business growth.
Minimum Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- Significant experience within permanent recruitment, ideally in an agency or staffing environment.
- Proven experience in a leadership capacity, specifically in mentoring or managing recruiters.
- A deep understanding of recruitment systems, applicant tracking systems, and database management.
- Demonstrated history of implementing or optimizing recruitment technology and processes.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, backed by strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Prior experience working alongside software developers or technology teams will be considered highly advantageous.
- Proven business development and client relationship management expertise.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
