Junior Import and Data Analyst
Time Personnel is currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join a luxury company based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. As a Junior Import and Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our client’s supply chain operations, ensuring that overseas orders, shipment tracking, and stock administration are handled with precision. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, driven team where full training on all internal systems and processes will be provided.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks focused on logistics and data integrity:
- Assisting with the placement of overseas purchase orders and maintaining clear communication with suppliers.
- Tracking international shipments and monitoring expected arrival dates to ensure timely logistics.
- Maintaining comprehensive import and purchasing records while verifying supplier invoices, packing lists, and associated documentation.
- Supporting the wider team with stock and purchasing administration.
- Preparing regular sales, stock, and product reports to assist management.
- Analyzing inventory and sales data using Excel to identify trends, low-stock items, and slow-moving products.
- Maintaining accurate databases for products, suppliers, and customers to support informed decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess a natural aptitude for numbers and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:
- Matric certification or a related qualification.
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience in a similar administrative or analytical capacity.
- Solid Excel proficiency and a high level of confidence when working with numerical data.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational habits.
- Reliability, a proactive mindset, and a genuine eagerness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills with strong follow-up capabilities.
- A keen interest in pursuing a career within imports, logistics, purchasing, or data analysis.
