Six Sense Consulting is currently seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to join our team in South Africa as an Executive Manager – International grants and partnerships. This is a pivotal role for a professional tasked with shaping our global engagement, securing sustainable funding, and driving the long-term strategic vision of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
As the Executive Manager, you will lead our international engagement efforts through the following core functions:
- Strategy Development: Formulate, review, and refine partnership strategies, organizational policies, and comprehensive implementation plans.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively drive engagement with national, regional, and global stakeholders, identifying and cultivating relationships with collaborators, funders, advisors, and reviewers to advance our institutional goals.
- Resource Mobilization: Link stakeholder engagement to our broader resource mobilization strategies to ensure the financial and operational sustainability of our work.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee business plans and internal systems, fostering a culture of high performance through effective delegation, mentorship, and empowerment of your teams.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong academic foundation complemented by extensive management experience in the research and innovation sector.
- Educational Requirement: A Doctoral Degree (NQF 10) is essential, supported by a proven track record of high-level research.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in research and innovation, with at least 5 years specifically in a management or leadership capacity.
