Role Overview for Fleet Controller / Tracker
As a Fleet Controller / Tracker, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily movement of our vehicles and managing direct communication with our drivers. We require someone who can maintain composure and confidence when dealing with operational challenges, ensuring that every load is tracked accurately and all transit protocols are followed.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Fleet Scheduler or Controller, with a strong background in managing drivers and overseeing fleet operations.
- A high level of attention to detail and a meticulous approach to data and vehicle tracking.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, calm, and professional instruction to drivers.
- A resilient mindset, as you must be prepared to work long hours and remain available for 24/7 on-call standby.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including both day and night cycles.
- Reliable own transport is essential to accommodate shift requirements.
- Provision of solid, contactable references from previous employers.
Salary
The remuneration for this position is up to R16 000 per month, depending on your relevant experience and expertise in fleet management.
