Operations Manager

Enigma and Mass Personnel (Pty) LTD is currently looking for an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to join our client, an established leader in the transport and logistics sector based in the Johannesburg region. In this senior role, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational functions, ensuring the business continues to deliver excellence while maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all transport and logistics operations to drive operational excellence.
• Focus on maximizing productivity and fleet utilisation while maintaining strict cost control to enhance overall profitability.
• Take ownership of operational budgets and the consistent achievement of performance targets.
• Ensure full compliance with SHEQ, ISO, RTMS, and all relevant legislative requirements.
• Manage and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and streamline processes across the business.
• Build and maintain robust relationships with customers, ensuring that service delivery standards are met and exceeded.

Minimum Requirements

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Transport, or Business Management.
• Between 5 to 10 years of experience in an operational leadership capacity within the transport and logistics industry.
• Proven track record in senior management roles within the logistics sector.
• Practical exposure to logistics operations within the Mining, FMCG, or Construction industries.
• Advanced skills in financial management, operational oversight, and people leadership.
• Proficiency in MS Office at an advanced level.
• A valid driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle.
