Our client, a leading branded fashion and apparel retailer, is searching for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join their new store opening at Walmer Park Shopping Centre. We are currently recruiting a dedicated Sales Assistant to join the team in the Eastern Cape, Nelson Mandela Bay area. Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional, friendly assistance to all customers.
- Offer expert product knowledge and personalized styling advice.
- Work proactively to achieve both individual and store-wide sales targets.
- Cultivate long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Assist with the full retail cycle: receiving, unpacking, pricing, and merchandising stock.
- Maintain the highest standards of visual merchandising and store housekeeping.
- Support inventory control through regular stock counts and loss prevention procedures.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve concerns with professional grace.
- Collaborate with the Store Supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Work effectively within a team to maintain a positive and professional shopping atmosphere.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and health and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- A minimum of 1–2 years of retail sales experience, specifically within fashion, apparel, footwear, or accessories.
- A genuine passion for the fashion industry and service excellence.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication skills and an approachable, confident manner.
- Basic numerical proficiency and prior cash handling experience.
- Familiarity with POS systems is highly advantageous.
- Flexibility to work retail trading hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Reliable transport to and from Walmer Park Shopping Centre.
- Immediate availability to commence employment.
Preferred Requirements
- Previous experience working with a national fashion or apparel retail chain.
- Practical knowledge of visual merchandising principles.
