Measured Ability is seeking a results-driven professional to join our team as a Sales Specialist – Automotive Batteries. Based in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg (Sandton, Midrand, and Diepsloot), this role is designed for a target-oriented individual who understands the automotive aftermarket landscape and has the network to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Specialist – Automotive Batteries, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our footprint within your assigned territory. Your daily focus will involve:
- Growing sales volume and profitability within an established client base.
- Identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities to increase market share.
- Managing and strengthening relationships with key industry stakeholders, including fitment centres, battery specialists, workshops, dealerships, fleet operators, and motor spares retailers.
- Actively promoting our market-leading range of automotive battery products to ensure brand visibility and product uptake.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be a self-motivated professional with a deep understanding of the local automotive sector. We require candidates who possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of external sales experience.
- Proven experience selling automotive batteries or closely related automotive aftermarket products.
- Existing, verifiable relationships with fitment centres, auto electrical businesses, workshops, dealerships, or motor spares outlets.
- A strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage your own territory effectively.
- A Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
- A valid South African driver’s licence.
- A willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to visit clients.
