About the Role

Manpower SA (Pty) Ltd. is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician to join a prominent FMCG company based in Cape Town. In this role, you will play a vital part in the installation, maintenance, and repair of critical electrical systems and equipment. Your primary objective will be to ensure the optimal performance of our production lines, minimizing downtime in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical maintenance, precise fault-finding, and essential repairs on complex production machinery.
• Ensure that all electrical installations and systems strictly comply with current industry safety standards and regulations.
• Execute proactive inspections and preventative maintenance schedules to reduce the risk of equipment failure and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues rapidly to maintain steady production flow and resolve technical bottlenecks.
• Work closely with the broader maintenance team to successfully execute planned plant shutdowns and system upgrades.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and maintenance logs for all repairs and site work.
• Champion a culture of safety by strictly adhering to all health and safety protocols within the workplace.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to production teams regarding electrical operations and machine performance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• You must be a qualified Electrician holding a valid trade certificate.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience working within an FMCG or manufacturing facility is essential.
• Advanced technical understanding of electrical systems, including PLCs, VSDs, and industrial automation.
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and schematics with ease.
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical faults.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to function effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Candidates possessing their own reliable vehicle will be viewed favorably.
